At UPC Applied Mathematics Department III, I was university administration personel in which I worked in cooperation with the LaCàN research group giving support and as systems administrator. My main contributions were the following ones:
- IT responsible for a research lab with 12 people.
- HPC responsible for a group specialized in computational mechanics.
- Increase of efficiency generating computational 3D meshes using PETSc library, used time passed from hours to seconds.
- Development of an effective way, using Perl, to accurately segment images targeted to a life sciences computing project.
- Increase of the research group potential by integrating several external-computing libraries in an ad-hoc software.
